Yesteryear Museum
Welcome to our website, we appreciate your interest in the Central Kansas Flywheels and hope you plan to visit our facility in the future. To those who have already toured our complex, welcome back!
The Museum is in its 34th year of operation. As a State with a proud agricultural tradition, the Museum portrays the evolving agricultural process and represents what it was life for the rural population to create a life for themselves on their homesteads.. The goal of any Museum is to tell a story. Our story is of early rural life and the ability to improvise and improve upon the conditions and quality of life for the rural family.
Since its inception, the Central Kansas Flywheels has evolved into a living history museum providing not only artifact viewing but participatory events, facility rental for all occasions and interactive demonstrations not only for the general public but as educational opportunities for students.
While primarily agricultural oriented, the Museum also offers dioramas and artifacts pertaining to the cultural aspect of rural life.
Whatever your age or whatever your interests, you are sure to find many exhibits of interest to you and your family.
